Will you win the Gold, Silver or Bronze?


Your challenge should you choose to accept it, is to start and finish a project during the 2012 Olympic Summer Games.  Complete at least one project during the two weeks of the Olympics and get entered to win great prizes!There will be three different competitions covering everything from UFO's (unfinished objects) to knitting for charity. We are hosting a closing ceremony party on August 14th from 6-7:30pm to give you an opportunity to share your projects with everyone who has participated in the event!  Come by the shop to pick up a copy of the official NEY Woolympics rules and regulations before the torch is lit.


Casu Cowl

Casu Cowl is knitted end to end to any size you desire. It is reversible (though not identical on both sides) so you can just throw it over your neck without having to make sure that the pretty side is up.  Dates/Times: Saturday Aug. 4th & 11th, Noon-2pm Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Cost: $20


Leftie is an asymmetrical shawlette that was designed to show off your favorite little leftovers.The stripes will swirl around your neck in a very flattering way, and the cute tiny leaves are the perfect way to make your favorite colors shine.  Dates/Times: Every Wednesday in Aug., 6-8pm Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Cost: $35 

Carrousel Cowl Workshop

This spectacular cowl uses slipped stitches to create the colorwork pattern.  Careful, it can be addicting!  Date/Time: Sunday, Aug 12th from 1-4pm Skill Level: Advanced Beginner Cost: $20


This garter stitch shawlette has a triangular construction with a beautiful scalloped, subtly ruffled edge that is really fun to make.  This pattern, is very flexible: You can use any amount of yarn and end up with a small neckerchief, a small or bigger shawlette.  Dates/Times: Every Wednesday in Aug., 6-8pm Skill Level: Adv. Reversible Cabled Scarf

This gorgeous neck warmer is covered in large winding cables which have been knit in ribbing making them identical on both sides.This warm reversible neck warmer is an original design by Leslie Broznak.  It is warm and dense, a guaranteed shield against wintry blasts. You Pick The Project & The Next Step

Enjoy the flexibility of picking your own project or bringing in a project that has your knitting at a stand still.  Take your knitting to the next level in this relaxed atmosphere.  Dates/Times: Saturdays 12-2pm or Wednesdays 6-8pm  Skill Level: Beginner-Advanced Cost: Drop in for $10 a class or $35 for 4 sessions
